Quiescence |
Ripples
on a pond... An atmospheric instrumental, With the fantastic sax of Mr Wim Koopman. Created using Jamstix drums and NubiLE B3 organ emulation. |
| A
bright star rises above the horizon. Who knows what adventures might
ensue if we follow it, and where it might lead? A cinematic orchestral piece, created with Garritan Personal Orchestra. This version arranged by the awesome GPO wizzard, Francesco Marchetti. |

Travellers
Hell |
Business
travel. Sounds so exciting doesn't it? Business class on the plane, 4
star hotels, exotic sounding destinations... Anyone who has lived this
life for any length of time will probably be able to identify with this
one! You know the situation, it's 2:00am, the plane was late, and now the check-in guy at the hotel is telling you you don't have a reservation. Featuring Phil Chamney on guitars |
Nonsense |
This
is, as the title says: Nonsense. The lead synth was improvised, and is
presented, warts and all. The bass, wurlitzer and drums have evolved
into something a bit less raw, but it's all pretty
spontaneous... Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! A bit of improvisation on the Korg Prophecy. Is it jazz fusion? I don't know, was it fun to do? Oh yes! |
Tone
Ring |
For
reasons too complicated to go into here, I was asked by the company I
worked for, to produce the basic riff of this tune as a ring-tone on a
mobile phone (years before downloadable ring-tones were even possible)
Years later, I was challenged to turn it into a complete tune. Here it
is! An instrumental in 7/8 |
Hidden
Refuge |
This
is part 2 of a 3 part instrumental called "The Embrace of Tides"
Inspired by the Science Fiction "Uplift" stories by David Brin.
It may form part of an album project, provisionally called
The
Gates of Time. A brief interlude. Somewhere to rest, and catch breath, hidden from all that is waiting out there |
