Born in the West of England in 1959, Mark had formal piano tuition from the age of 10 up until he was 14 when piano lessons became "uncool" for a young teen.  However at the age of 17, in 1976, Mark was introduced to the progressive rock music of Yes, and suddenly someone playing keyboards was cool, and this music was something that changed his idea of what music should be forever.

Soon after, Mark was writing music and one of his earliest pieces, entitled "Fantasy Bridge" was born.  This piece has been with him ever since and now is the title track of a planned album that you could say has been 30 years in the making!

Professionally, Mark trained as an Electronics Design Engineer and through the years he has worked in fields ranging from Audiophile hi-fi, avionics and mobile telecoms.  A lot of this electronics expertise has proved useful in developing his knowledge of music production.

A management role in the telecoms industry provides the resources to allow Mark to indulge his passion for writing and recording his music.
Throughout the 70s and 80s Mark was in various bands (Take a look at the history page) wrote a lot of music (including a full stage musical for kids).  In the 90s, Mark became interested in recording and slowly developed his own home studio Mark One Music, where he has steadily been writing and recording material.
Today, Mark is writing music, planning to release an album, occasionally recording other people, and managing Front of House sound for his local Church.  Somewhere in there, he also finds time to jet around the world for his proper job!.
